Accessibility Statement — Minnesota Toy Library
Minnesota Toy Library is committed to making our website and our library locations accessible to everyone in our community. Our goal for this site is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Where we actually stand
We want to be straight with you rather than claim a badge we haven’t earned: this site has not yet been through a full accessibility audit. We have built it with accessibility in mind — semantic headings, labeled form fields, descriptive page titles, keyboard navigation, and alternative text on images — but we have not finished verifying every page against WCAG 2.1 AA, and we would rather tell you that than overstate it.
An audit is planned. When it is done we will update this page with what we found, what we fixed, and anything still outstanding.
Accessibility at our locations
Each of our three locations is hosted inside a partner church building. Some locations have step-free entrances and accessible parking; others have stairs. If you have questions about physical accessibility at a specific location, please contact us — we’ll be glad to help you plan your visit.
We also have a growing collection of adapted toys with accessible switches, tactile features, and high-contrast designs for children with sensory or motor differences. Ask staff at any location to see what’s available.
Something not working?
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on this site or at a location, please let us know at mplstoylibrary@gmail.com. We take every report seriously and will follow up to fix the issue.
